Tico Guide Travel specializes in planning and facilitating unique, personally-tailored eco-adventure and leisure trips to Costa Rica, for individuals and families, couples, honeymooners, and small to mid-sized groups of 3 - 25 pax.

TGT also works with group leaders (yoga teachers, professors and educators, fitness and sports trainers, family leaders, etc.) to plan and facilitate custom-tailored Eco-Adventure Sports and Activities trips, Yoga & Healing Retreats, R&R trips, Destination Weddings, Conservation & Ecology trips, and Arts & Culture trips.

If you just need a plane ticket or some general information and resources, Tico Guide Travel provides a la carte services, however, Tico Guide Travel mainly specializes in providing two travel service packages, the Toucan Package and the Jaguar Package.

TRAVEL SERVICE PACKAGES:

Tico Guide Travel offers two Travel Service Packages.

Toucan Package
"Travel Advisor" Service

This package is ideal for travelers who want professional advice, guidance and consultation in maximizing and making the most out of their trip to Costa Rica. The service includes receiving two unique and personally-tailored suggested travel itineraries based on your own travel needs and quotes on airfare, followed by a 2 hour consultation and trip planning meeting.

Jaguar Package
Complete "Travel Planner" Service

For travelers who want "full service" travel planning and assistance, including pre-trip research, reservations and/or bookings, a day-to-day travel itinerary, budget outline, and travel administrative duties. This package is ideal for couples, honeymooners, friends and family trips, and group trips (yoga retreats, educational groups, etc.)

A LA CARTE SERVICES:

Tico Guide Travel offers several A La Carte travel services, including:

Consultation & Travel Planning Services
Fee: $50.00 per hour (2 hour minimum)

Pre-trip Research, Availability, and Rate Quotes
Fee: $50.00 per hour

Reservations/ Bookings
(for Lodging, Ground & Local Air Transportation, Tours, etc.)
Fee: $25.00 per reservation/booking (flat fee)

Research, Reservations and/or Airline Ticket Purchasing
(for International Flights)
Fee: $35.00 per ticket (flat fee)

Personal Tour Guide in Costa Rica
Fee: $225.00 per day (day rate)

Group Travel Services*
(for Destination Weddings, Yoga Retreats, Eco-Adventure, Sports & Fitness Trips, Conservation & Botanical Trips, Education/Research Trips, Real Estate Trips, and other types of special group trips)
Fee: $150.00 per person (see Jaguar Package for list of services provided)
* Applies to groups of 15 or more people

Tico Guide Travel Payment Policy:

Full payment for the Toucan Package is due at time of consultation meeting. Half the total amount for the Jaguar Package is due upfront as a deposit (non-refundable), and the balance is due upon delivery of all travel documents including airline tickets, accommodation and ground transportation vouchers, travel itinerary, travel budget and other travel documents that have been requested. Payments for the a la carte services are due upon delivery of travel documents or net 15 days after completion of specific services.

Trip Cancellation Policy:

For Tico Guide Travel "guided" trips to Costa Rica, cancellations must be made 30 days in advance for 100% refunds. 50% refunds on travel services and guide fees are given up to 7 days before trip departure date. No refunds are given for hotels, tours, and transfers for cancellations or changes made to itinerary during trip or up to 14 days before trip departure. No refunds are given for travel planning services and guide fees for cancellations or changes to itinerary made during the trip or up to 7 days before departure date.

For travel to Costa Rica on your own, refunds are subject to each hotel, airline, and tour operator's cancellation policy. Cancellation policies for each hotel, airline, tour operator or ground transfer provider, can be given upon request.

Travel Planning Refund Policy:

For Travel Planning Services, 100% refunds are given if no services have been rendered. 50% refunds are given if client cancels their trip during the travel planning phase.
