TRAVEL SERVICE PACKAGES
Tico Guide Travel offers two Travel Service Packages.  Toucan Package "Travel Advisor" Service Includes: Prior to Meeting: - Review of your Travel Questionnaire (to be filled out and returned before meeting) - Send you my "Suggested Travel Destinations/Itineraries" proposal (based on your travel interests) - Research International airline flights and present 2-3 flight options with fares At Meeting: - General overview and presentation on Costa Rica - Review and discuss "Suggested Travel Destinations/Itineraries" proposal - Presentation of maps, brochures, photos, etc. of destinations and accommodations - Help you plan out an ideal route, based on your travel interests and time constraints - Present transportation options (air, car rental, public, etc.) and suggest best way to get around - Take away a Costa Rica tourist map, brochures, Tico Tips List, and an overview on Costa Rica. Overview: A 2-hour face-to-face (or by phone) scheduled travel planning and consultation meeting, where I help you plan your trip to Costa Rica. Before our scheduled meeting and based on information I collect from the Travel Questionnaire, I put together up to two "Suggested Travel Destinations/Itineraries", including best airline options, destinations, suggested lodging, and activities. I send this to you a few days before we meet (or talk over the phone) for the Consultation/Trip Planning meeting. The meeting starts off with a general overview of Costa Rica, with an explanation on the different regions, climates, social and government status, natural and tourist attractions, places to avoid, "must-see" places, and more. We then go over the "Suggested Travel Destinations/Itineraries", and begin to discuss and plan out a day-to-day trip itinerary, including destinations, transportation, lodging, and activities that meet your travel goals, lifestyle and what you're looking to experience on your trip. I suggest places on the path and off the beaten path, ways to get around the country, connect you with friends, family and local (trustworthy) contacts, and provide the kind of personal information that is hard to get out of travel books. I also provide brochures, photographs and maps for you to look over and/or take with you. During our meeting, you are welcome to write down phone #s, website URLs, contact names, places, etc. to use to make any reservations, bookings etc. By the end of our meeting, you'll have a really good understanding of what Costa Rica has to offer and you'll most likely have your travel itinerary and destinations planned out. You'll have a list of recommended lodging options, a tourist map, brochures, photos, and a list of activities you can do at each of the destinations you'll be visiting. You'll be ready for the Pre-trip research and reservations/bookings of airlines, lodging, ground transportation, etc. At this point, you can do it yourself, of if you'd like assistance, I can provide the pre-trip research, make reservations and/or bookings and provide administrative services, like writing up a travel itinerary, budget outline, etc. See the Jaguar Package below. Service Fee: $125.00 single traveler* * Add $25.00 per additional traveler on same itinerary Maximum fee is $400.00 (up to 25 travelers on same itinerary) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  Jaguar Package Complete "Travel Planner" Service Includes: - Travel Advisor Service (see Toucan Package above) - Pre-trip Planning and Research - Reservations, Bookings, and Confirmations - Day-to-day Travel Itinerary - Travel Budget Outline - Hotel Summary Sheet - Administration - Make arrangements to connect with local tour guides, Salvador's family and fiends (if applicable) - Ongoing communication during trip planning process (Questions and Answers) - Travel-Pac - Pre-Trip Meeting Overview: Travel Advisor Service (See Toucan Package for details) Pre-trip research Once you've decided on your destinations and travel route, I research and gather information on air travel, ground transportation, and accommodation availability and rates, and report back to you by e-mail or phone on rates/availability. Reservations, Bookings, and Confirmations Upon your approval, I make the necessary reservations, bookings, and confirmations for air travel, accommodations, and ground transportation. You may need to pre-pay for airline, accommodations and organized tour services prior to date of departure. All phone, fax and e-mail communications for bookings are paid for by Tico Guide Travel. Day-to-Day Travel Itinerary For those who would like a travel itinerary to assist them on their trip, I provide a comprehensive itinerary that includes air, ground and accommodation information, as well as point-to-point instructions when needed, current exchange rates, a climate report, list of personal contacts you can get in touch with at your destinations, and suggested activities that are available within your selected destinations. Budget Outline If you're like me, you'll want to know how much you'll be spending on your vacation in paradise. Based on your budget information I gathered from your evaluation, I provide a Travel Budget spreadsheet that includes actual and projected costs on air & ground travel, accommodations, food & drink, activities, tour services, communication, gifts, and miscellaneous expenses. The budget outline can be given to you as an Excel spreadsheet, so you can fill in your expenses after your trip, and use the spreadsheet as a travel budget journal. Local Tico Guide Travel Tour Guides Depending on what part of the country you visit, I can put you in contact with local Tico Guide Travel information/tour guides that will be able to give you the 411 on what tours are good/bad, where to eat, drink, party, and they will make arrangements to book/reserve any tours you may be interested in (such as rafting, horseback riding, etc.) They also provide fun and informative walking tours in places like San Jose. Hotel Summary Sheet A detailed summary report with hotel names, dates of lodging, confirmation #s, rates, contacts, phone #s, special instructions, check out times, etc. Questions and Answers Many travelers have questions about safety, what to bring, what to eat, and the list goes on. I answer your questions through e-mail, and if I don't have the answers to your questions, I do the research and find the answers within a reasonable period of time. Travel-Pac I will put together a travel kit package with all your travel documents (plane tickets, hotel and car rental confirmation vouchers, etc.) including a travel tip list and general info on Costa Rica. Your travel kit is given to you at least 7 days prior to your departure, so you have time to look through it and get back to me with any questions. Pre-Trip Meeting A few days prior to your trip (ideally at least 5-7 days beforehand), I go over your travel itinerary, tickets, vouchers, and other travel documents that I have put together in your travel-pac. This meeting generally lasts 1 hour, and can be done in person or over the phone. Service Fee: $200.00 single traveler* * Add $100.00 per additional traveler on same itinerary Group rates apply for 10 or more travelers on same itinerary. See group rates below. Fees are based on a 10-14 day trip. If your trip is longer than 14 days or requires additional time for research, travel planning, etc., a $50 per hour fee will apply. Based on your completed Traveler Questionnaire, a quote on the total rate for travel services will be provided prior to any services rendered.
